About ADOTAT
ADOTAT is an independent publication covering advertising technology: ad tech fraud, programmatic economics, measurement, and the structures of the holding companies that move the money. We report what companies say about themselves, then check it against their contracts, filings, invoices and court records.
ADOTAT is privately owned by its publisher, Pesach Lattin. It has no outside investors, no parent company, and no holding company or ad tech vendor in its ownership. ADOTAT is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Pesach Lattin, Publisher and Editor. Investigative journalist covering ad tech fraud, programmatic economics and holding company structures.
ADOTAT Staff. Two part-time staff support reporting, research and production.
Guest contributors are named on their own bylines and identified with their professional affiliations.
Pesach Lattin started his career as an investigator, including work with the U.S. Secret Service's New York Electronic Crimes Task Force. He then spent two decades building and running advertising businesses: an early game advertising network, the ad network Vizi, where he served as CEO, and LeadsCon, which he co-founded. He has known many of the executives ADOTAT now covers for twenty years, often as direct competitors, and discloses those relationships where they bear on a story. He hosts The ADOTAT Show.
ADOTAT is funded by reader subscriptions and reader support. There is no paid placement in editorial. Sponsored content, when it runs, is labeled as sponsored, and we say what the sponsor did and did not control. Sponsors and advertisers do not review stories before publication.
We work from primary documents wherever we can: SEC filings, court records, contracts, proxy statements, audit reports and the companies' own published claims. Where a figure is our estimate, we say so. Every investigation carries a short note on method, limitations and disclosures.
Before publication, we contact the companies and executives we name, where practicable, and include their response or note that they declined. We disclose any financial relationship, or lack of one, with companies named in a story.
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Any change after publication is noted at the bottom of the story with a dated Update line, and logged on our Corrections page.
